During November 2024, E21106 developed the Student Profile Display Name Personalization feature for the cepdnaclk/people.ce.pdn.ac.lk repository. This work focused on enhancing the user experience by ensuring that each student’s preferred short name is accurately displayed across their profile. E21106 updated the front-end template using HTML, applying front end development skills to render the correct display name as per user preference. The implementation improved data consistency and reduced user confusion, resulting in cleaner identity presentation throughout the portal. No major bugs were addressed, but minor UI refinements were incorporated during the feature rollout, demonstrating careful attention to maintainability.
