During March 2025, contributed backend engineering work to the badges/shields repository, focusing on server reliability and container efficiency. Implemented a graceful server shutdown mechanism that listens for SIGTERM signals, ensuring the Node.js server terminates cleanly and avoids abrupt process exits. Additionally, optimized the Docker image build process by refining the Dockerfile and shell scripts to reinstall node_modules and remove unnecessary files, which improved build caching and reduced the final container size. Leveraged skills in backend development, CI/CD, and Docker to enhance both operational stability and deployment efficiency, with all changes delivered through JavaScript, Dockerfile, and shell scripting.
