Worked on the badges/shields repository to address a critical issue affecting NuGet API calls, specifically targeting the retrieval of non-ASCII package names. Focused on resolving a double URL encoding bug, the developer ensured accurate package lookups by refining the API’s encoding logic. Leveraging JavaScript and applying robust testing practices, they introduced targeted tests for both the NuGet encoding path and MyGet integration, effectively preventing future regressions. This work enhanced the reliability and performance of NuGet-related search functionality, resulting in a more dependable experience for developers who rely on accurate package retrieval and improved search outcomes within the platform.
