During November 2024, Bozivk worked on enhancing geographic data modeling by extending the base land schema in the OvertureMaps/schema repository. Focusing on schema definition using YAML, Bozivk introduced new land type classifications, including crater, meteor_crater, and volcanic_caldera_rim, to support more granular terrain representation. This schema enhancement enables richer downstream analytics, improved risk assessment, and more accurate mapping workflows by capturing previously unsupported landforms. The work laid a solid technical foundation for future terrain analytics and visualization features. Although the contribution was limited to a single feature, it demonstrated depth in schema design and attention to data quality and extensibility.
