Worked on backend development for the GregTech-Modern repository, focusing on improving automation reliability in modded Java environments. Addressed a critical issue by implementing a bug fix that ensured deterministic and correct item handling within automated systems, specifically targeting the Robot Arm’s “Keep Exact” functionality. The solution involved updating item comparison logic in both SimpleItemFilter and ItemNetHandler to properly account for NBT data, aligning item pipeline behavior and reducing edge-case mismatches. Leveraged Java and modding expertise to deliver maintainable code with a clear review trail, enhancing item filtering and network handling while supporting robust integration with existing item pipelines.
