During July 2025, Tiara Hock enhanced the reliability and maintainability of the S3 module in the gardenlinux/python-gardenlinux-lib repository. She developed comprehensive unit tests using Python, leveraging the moto library to mock AWS S3 services and ensure robust test isolation. By refactoring existing tests to use fixtures and context managers, Tiara improved test repeatability and code clarity. Her work included thorough code cleanup and the resolution of a deprecation warning, which supports long-term compatibility and stable continuous integration. This focused engineering effort increased test coverage, reduced regression risk, and laid a stronger foundation for future feature development in the project.
