Worked on backend localization for the numerique-gouv/impress repository, focusing on enabling German (de-DE) language support to expand accessibility for German-speaking users. Implemented locale settings and integrated translated strings using Gettext and Python, following Django’s internationalization framework. The work included updating django.po and django.mo files and maintaining thorough changelog documentation to track localization progress. No bug fixes were addressed during this period, as the primary objective was to lay a solid foundation for future internationalization efforts. Demonstrated skills in backend development, internationalization, and localization, ensuring the backend is prepared for broader multilingual support in upcoming releases.
