Worked on the richard67/joomla-cms repository to address a runtime stability issue in the admin menu, focusing on front end development with JavaScript. Delivered a targeted bug fix that improved the resilience of the admin menu tree by implementing defensive programming techniques and refining DOM manipulation. The solution ensured that elements such as treeselectmenu were present before accessing properties like innerHTML, and used forEach for safer iteration. Additionally, the fix conditionally removed UI elements only when appropriate, reducing the risk of user-facing errors. This work enhanced code maintainability and laid a foundation for future stability improvements in the admin interface.
