Worked on the bettercodepaul/swt2-bsa-frontend repository to deliver visual enhancements for the sidebar UI, focusing on accessibility and maintainability. The approach involved replacing hard-coded HEX color values with CSS variables, enabling scalable theming and improved color contrast for better accessibility. Applied targeted code cleanup by correcting formatting and removing explicit color values, which contributed to more consistent and maintainable styling. Utilized SCSS and CSS to implement these changes, ensuring that the sidebar menu items were visually distinct and aligned with accessibility standards. The work was ticket-driven and addressed UI polish without introducing or resolving major bugs during the period.
