During March 2025, Charles Lamothe developed a new API for the coveo/platform-client repository to enable retrieval of default document configurations. He implemented the Sources.getDefaultDocumentConfiguration method, introducing a DocumentConfigurationType enum and updating related interfaces to support consistent configuration management across platforms. Working primarily with TypeScript, Charles focused on robust API integration and full stack development practices, ensuring the new functionality was thoroughly tested and well-documented. Although the scope was limited to a single feature over one month, the work demonstrated careful attention to interface design and maintainability, laying groundwork for future enhancements in document configuration handling within the platform.
