Worked on security and reliability improvements across two repositories, focusing on backend and CLI development using Go and Python. In MoviePilot, addressed authentication risks by updating resource token cookie handling to respect the X-Forwarded-Proto header, ensuring secure cookies in reverse proxy environments and adding targeted tests for proxied HTTPS scenarios. In croc, resolved a handshake regression by implementing consistent trimming of relay passwords, preventing failures caused by trailing whitespace and expanding regression test coverage for password input handling. The work emphasized security hardening, robust input validation, and comprehensive testing to stabilize authentication flows and prevent future regressions in sensitive environments.
