Worked on the swift-corelibs-libdispatch repository to enhance build stability and cross-platform test compatibility, focusing on FreeBSD environments. Addressed a specific issue in the test suite by conditionally including sys/sysctl.h within tests/dispatch_test.h, enabling sysctlbyname support and resolving a build failure unique to FreeBSD. This targeted bug fix improved continuous integration reliability and ensured consistent behavior across operating systems. The work involved C programming and a strong understanding of build systems and testing practices. Over the course of the month, contributed to the project’s robustness by refining test infrastructure, demonstrating attention to platform-specific details and cross-OS compatibility challenges.
