During September 2025, Alex Polloreno enhanced the apple/axlearn repository by developing a configurable goodput monitoring flag within the GoodputRecorder class. This feature, implemented in Python, allows teams to enable or disable goodput monitoring as needed, defaulting to off to prevent performance regressions. Alex updated the constructor and flag parsing logic, ensuring backward compatibility and robust unit testing to validate the new behavior.
