Worked on the neighbor-connect repository to enhance chat stability and data validation within the backend system. Focused on Python-based API development, addressing two critical bugs that improved user experience and data integrity. Refactored the chats root endpoint routing, moving the own chats endpoint to the root path to streamline user access through the main chats router. Additionally, refined the validation logic for chat request descriptions, ensuring that empty or excessively long values are properly handled. Emphasized robust API validation and backend development practices, resulting in a more reliable chat platform and smoother data handling for end users during the development period.
