Worked on the guardian/source-apps repository to deliver two front end feature updates focused on asset management and icon rendering. Leveraging React and TypeScript, updated the asset catalog’s Contents.json to improve metadata accuracy, enhancing asset indexing and catalog consistency without altering application code. Additionally, improved icon rendering by preserving vector data for all icons, ensuring sharp and scalable visuals across different resolutions. These changes reduced asset management risk and improved end-user visual fidelity while keeping maintenance overhead minimal. No major bugs were reported during this period, reflecting a stable development process with attention to detail in JavaScript and TypeScript environments.
