Worked on the piplabs/story repository to enhance observability and version tracking within the CLI and ABCI workflow. Developed a feature that enables the CLI to report the current application version through the ABCI info endpoint by integrating build-time metadata using Go’s buildinfo.Version() function. This approach improved release tracking and dashboard visibility, making it easier for teams to audit deployments and support customers. Focused on CLI development and Go programming, the work emphasized release hygiene by ensuring accurate version reporting at runtime. The changes streamlined troubleshooting and reduced debugging time, contributing to more reliable and maintainable operational processes.
