Worked on the percona/percona-server-mongodb-operator repository to enhance certificate management and improve startup reliability for MongoDB clusters. Developed a new Certificate interface and refined the WaitForCert logic to ensure that certificate ownership is accurately tracked by cert-manager, directly addressing startup failures when ownership references are enabled. Focused on stabilizing the cluster startup process by preventing misbehavior in cert-manager-enabled environments. Added comprehensive end-to-end tests to validate the certificate management workflow and increase deployment confidence. Utilized Go for implementation, leveraging skills in Kubernetes, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure to deliver a robust solution that improves cluster reliability and operational consistency.
