During December 2024, Diana Lopez Tavares enhanced the Spanish localization of the phetsims/greenhouse-effect simulation by refining grammar and improving the naturalness of translated user interface text. She focused on internationalization and localization, working directly with FTL translation files to address ambiguities and ensure clarity for Spanish-speaking users. Her updates to the greenhouse-effect-strings_es.ftl resource improved the accuracy and readability of the simulation’s Spanish content, making it more accessible and user-friendly. While no bugs were fixed during this period, Diana’s work contributed depth by targeting nuanced language issues, ultimately supporting broader accessibility and localization readiness for the project.
