Worked on the OpenModelica/OpenModelica repository to enhance maintainability by focusing on the OMEditLIB component. The primary effort involved removing all Transmission Line Modeling (TLM) references, including dialogs, icons, and internal logic related to TLM buses and connections. This cleanup targeted deprecated and unused functionality, reducing the codebase’s surface area and simplifying future maintenance. The approach emphasized disciplined version control and careful refactoring using C++ and Qt, ensuring stability and easier extensibility. By addressing a specific bug and streamlining OMEditLIB, the work contributed to risk reduction and positioned the project for more straightforward enhancements in subsequent development cycles.
