Worked on front end feature development in the box/box-ui-elements repository, focusing on UI enhancements and iconography improvements. Delivered sidebar tab icon customization by introducing an optional icon parameter for tabs, updating the default AdditionalTab icon to improve navigation clarity and align with design guidelines. Added AdobeExpress icon support to the FileIcon component, updating imports and expanding unit tests to ensure correct rendering and regression protection. Employed React, JavaScript, and TypeScript to implement these features, emphasizing UI consistency and customization. The work prepared the codebase for future theming and improved branding alignment, with all changes delivered as non-breaking updates.
