Eirik Rasdal enhanced the nrkno/netbox-devicetype-library by refining the EVS XS-NEO PMX2 device type definition, ensuring that interfaces, console ports, and power ports accurately matched hardware specifications. Using YAML and leveraging Infrastructure as Code principles, Eirik improved device inventory accuracy and asset visibility without requiring codebase modifications. He added front and rear asset images for the device through the Netbox Self Service portal, streamlining hardware management and supporting traceable, auditable changes. The work demonstrated a focused application of device management skills, delivering targeted improvements over a one-month period with a clear emphasis on maintainability and operational transparency.
