Worked on the incident-io/terraform-provider-incident repository to enhance backend reliability by addressing rate-limiting and request pacing issues. Focused on correcting the handling of backoff durations by ensuring explicit use of Go’s time.Duration units, which improved the accuracy of retry logic. Also fixed the parsing and application of the Retry-After header, preventing mis-timed requests and supporting more robust API integration. Updated project documentation and changelog in Markdown to reflect these changes for version v5.17.0. The work emphasized backend development and bug resolution, delivering targeted improvements without introducing new features during the month-long contribution period.
