During February 2025, Zihao Diao focused on backend development for the JunkFood02/FreshRSS repository, addressing a critical issue related to feed ordering by priority. He identified and resolved a bug where the 'priority' field was not properly included in the feed data array during new feed processing, which previously led to inconsistent feed sorting. Using PHP, Zihao isolated the priority handling logic and validated the fix to ensure reliable ordering behavior. This targeted debugging improved data integrity and user experience by maintaining correct feed sorting, ultimately reducing confusion and support needs. The work demonstrated depth in backend troubleshooting and data consistency.
