Worked on the folio-org/folio-integration-tests repository to deliver a password policy enhancement that disallows whitespace in passwords, directly addressing authentication security requirements. Developed and implemented a new validation rule using Gherkin to ensure passwords containing spaces are rejected, thereby reducing the risk of weak credentials and aligning with established security policies. Automated integration and API tests were added to verify the new rule, expanding security policy coverage and improving the reliability of continuous integration workflows. Focused on API testing and integration testing, the work strengthened the repository’s defenses against credential-based attacks and contributed to more robust authentication mechanisms overall.
