Worked on the SORMAS-Foundation/SORMAS-Project repository to deliver a targeted enhancement for disease tracking and reporting. Developed an extension to the Disease enum in Java, enabling the system to support viewing INVASIVE_PNEUMOCOCCAL_INFECTION (IPI) and thereby improving data granularity for public health surveillance and analytics. Focused on backend development, the work maintained system stability while increasing interoperability and research potential. Leveraged Java and Git-based collaboration to implement and document the change, ensuring seamless integration with existing workflows. No major bugs were addressed during this period, as the primary focus remained on feature delivery and supporting more detailed disease monitoring capabilities.
