Over three months, contributed to the SORMAS-Foundation/SORMAS-Project repository by enhancing data models and workflows to improve data quality and governance. Developed RSV-specific data model enhancements, configuring sample and pathogen test types using Java enum updates to support accurate reporting. Addressed data integrity by fixing a NullPointerException in customizable enum persistence, applying defensive coding practices in Java to ensure stable saves. Delivered features for guardian information management and survey token import, integrating backend logic, SQL database management, and UI adjustments for age-based visibility and internationalization. The work demonstrated a focus on robust backend development, data modeling, and seamless data import/export processes.
February 2025 monthly summary for SORMAS-Foundation/SORMAS-Project focused on delivering two strategic features, resolving critical data handling issues, and strengthening data governance and survey token workflows. The work directly enables better guardian data governance, improved data quality, and scalable survey token management.
