Worked on the RetroAchievements/RAWeb repository to enhance API reliability and data integrity within the platform’s backend. Focused on resolving a bug in the API_GetUserSummary endpoint, the developer implemented a fix to ensure canonical username handling through case normalization. This adjustment addressed inconsistencies in UserPic path resolution and mismatches in the LastActivity field, leading to more accurate data referencing and improved downstream analytics. The work was carried out using PHP and centered on backend and API development practices. By prioritizing data consistency, the developer contributed to a more robust and maintainable API infrastructure during the month’s development cycle.
