Worked on enhancing observability and maintainability within the porter-dev/porter-charts repository by implementing a robust Loki logging integration. This involved upgrading the Loki schema and configuration, updating Promtail relabel rules, and aligning porter-agent values with the new schema version to ensure storage correctness. Deprecated configuration blocks were removed from values.yaml to simplify management and reduce confusion. The work leveraged skills in Configuration Management, Helm, and Kubernetes, with extensive use of yaml for configuration changes. By bumping the Loki image tag to 3.5.4, new features and fixes were enabled, setting a clear foundation for future improvements to logging infrastructure.
