Worked on the companieshouse/confirmation-statement-web repository, focusing on frontend improvements and preparing for future licensing features. Upgraded the govuk-frontend framework to version 5.14.0, which enhanced UI consistency and improved the security posture of the application. Refactored the layout template by removing an unnecessary class from the footer, contributing to better maintainability. Introduced a contentLicence property in the layout HTML as a placeholder to support upcoming licensing display workflows. Utilized Express.js and Node.js for backend integration, while applying HTML and JavaScript for frontend development. The work emphasized maintainable code and readiness for new feature implementation without addressing bug fixes.
