Worked on the courselab/coral repository to improve the reliability and maintainability of the Game Configuration Menu, focusing on backend logic and user interface development using Python. Addressed a critical IndexOutOfBoundsError by refining the language selection logic, ensuring accurate enumeration of available languages and preventing future errors. Refactored the configuration UI codebase by introducing modular helper methods for drawing configuration lines and fetching options, which enhanced readability and testability. These changes strengthened the stability of the configuration flow, reduced the risk of crashes during user setup, and made the codebase more extensible and ready for internationalization and future feature expansion.
