Worked on the AxisCommunications/fluent-components repository to address a user experience issue with the slider component, focusing on tooltip visibility. Applied front end development and component development skills using TypeScript to refine the slider’s tooltip logic, ensuring the thumb tooltip remains visible whenever explicitly opened, regardless of thumb state. This targeted bug fix involved reviewing and updating component props to align with the design system, validating changes across related components to prevent regressions. The work improved UX consistency and reduced potential support queries by making tooltip behavior predictable, supporting ongoing coherence across the Fluent UI suite and enhancing clarity for end users.
