During January 2025, Hn667 focused on enhancing the OverlayPlugin/cactbot project by addressing a critical issue in the raid emulator’s popup trigger messaging. Using TypeScript and front end development skills, Hn667 implemented a setPopupText method and overrode OnShow and OnSpeak functions to ensure trigger information was correctly passed to the popup text handler. This targeted fix resolved a bug where popup alerts were not visible during raid simulations, improving the emulator’s fidelity and supporting more accurate QA and testing. The work demonstrated a thoughtful approach to maintainability and traceability, refining the messaging pathway without introducing new features.
