Developed a configurable Kubernetes Attributes Processor for the SigNoz/charts repository, enabling users to extract labels and annotations from pod metadata and enrich telemetry with Kubernetes resource information. Leveraged Helm and YAML to update chart templates and default values, making new extraction options easily accessible for configuration management. This work allows customers to surface custom labels and annotations in their observability data, providing richer context for monitoring and alerting. The implementation focused on extending Kubernetes attributes processing, aligning changes with a single commit to support custom label and annotation extraction, and enhancing the flexibility of telemetry enrichment within Kubernetes environments.
