Worked on the-turing-way/the-turing-way repository to enhance accessibility in the Community Handbook by improving image alt text throughout multiple Markdown documents. Focused on providing descriptive alt text that details image content, artist, and licensing information, supporting both screen reader users and those with images disabled. Applied accessibility best practices and maintained cross-document consistency, ensuring semantic and descriptive metadata across all updated files. Utilized Markdown for documentation and contributed through a Git-based workflow. The work resulted in higher accessibility compliance and more usable documentation, reducing support friction and promoting inclusive design for a broader range of users within the project.
