During August 2025, Jing Zhou enhanced accessibility in the-turing-way/the-turing-way repository by improving image alt text throughout the Community Handbook. Jing focused on writing descriptive alt text that included image content, artist attribution, and licensing details, directly supporting screen reader users and those with images disabled. The work was implemented using Markdown and followed accessibility best practices, ensuring semantic clarity and cross-document consistency. Leveraging a Git-based workflow, Jing contributed multiple commits that raised the overall documentation quality and inclusivity. While no bugs were fixed, the feature improved accessibility compliance and reduced support friction, demonstrating depth in documentation and accessibility skills.
