Worked on the crytic/slither repository to enhance the accuracy of smart contract storage layout analysis using Python and Solidity. Focused on resolving a bug related to storage slot calculation when variables span across 32-byte boundaries, the work improved the reliability of storage analysis and reduced false positives in reported layouts. The solution involved implementing boundary-aware testing by introducing a BiggerStruct and its instance within StorageLayout.sol, ensuring comprehensive coverage of cross-boundary scenarios. Leveraging skills in bug fixing and smart contract analysis, the developer contributed a targeted fix that addressed a nuanced issue in Solidity storage, strengthening the tool’s overall correctness.
