Worked on foundational documentation for resource health reporting in Kubernetes, focusing on how Kubelet obtains and reports device health from DRA plugins. In the kubernetes/enhancements repository, defined the gRPC API, caching strategy, and integration points within Kubelet, establishing a clear technical direction for pod-level health reporting. Used Go and Protocol Buffers to outline the proposed mechanism, ensuring future implementation is well-guided and validated. The work clarified requirements for integrating DRA plugin health into pod status, improving reliability and observability. Collaborated across teams to align on the health reporting roadmap, supporting better scheduling decisions and system design within Kubernetes.
