Worked on the RWTH-EBC/AixLib repository, delivering feature-rich enhancements for building energy modeling and simulation. Over four months, developed and standardized Modelica-based models for window opening, solar radiation, and sunblind behavior, ensuring compliance with DIN16798 and improving interoperability. Introduced a comprehensive KPI framework for temperature, energy, and indoor air quality, including CO2 metrics, and automated simulation plotting for better performance evaluation. Applied code refactoring and scripting to maintain backward compatibility and streamline upgrades, while strengthening documentation and CI/CD processes. This work improved model accuracy, maintainability, and reproducibility, supporting robust energy systems analysis and facilitating downstream integration and onboarding.
Month: 2025-05 — RWTH-EBC/AixLib: Sunblind Parameter Naming Consistency across AixLib. Consolidated and documented sunblind-related parameter naming (Imax -> H_max) across sunblind models and Wall component; updates to conversion scripts and revision history for issue 1525; CI trigger added to validate changes automatically. This work improves model interoperability, reduces parameter mismatch risks, and strengthens traceability across the AixLib sunblind subsystem.
