Worked on the planetarium/9c-infra repository to deliver a targeted deployment update for the 9c-portal service, focusing on release governance and operational consistency. Implemented a change to pin the Kubernetes deployment to a specific image tag using YAML, ensuring that production environments consistently run the intended portal version. This approach improved reproducibility and traceability by tying deployment changes directly to a specific commit, which enables precise rollbacks if necessary. Leveraging DevOps practices and Kubernetes expertise, the work addressed the risk of version drift in production, aligning deployments with approved releases and supporting a more controlled and auditable deployment process.
