During a two-month period, Burkhalter contributed to the puzzle/puzzletime repository by focusing on release management and CI/CD workflow improvements. In January, Burkhalter updated the version.rb file to deliver version 2.13, ensuring consistent versioning and traceability across deployment environments using Ruby and version control best practices. In March, Burkhalter enhanced the GitHub Actions workflow by modifying test-on-pr.yaml to trigger tests and linting on pull request branches, referencing the correct head ref for reusable workflows. This work, implemented in YAML and leveraging CI/CD automation, improved pipeline reliability and accelerated feedback for non-master branches, though the scope remained targeted and incremental.
