Kaylyn Vannorstrand contributed to the HHS/simpler-grants-gov project by addressing two high-priority bugs that improved both user experience and deployment reliability. She focused on frontend development using React and TypeScript, refining UI elements by correcting the alignment of success messages and removing unnecessary CSS classes from modal components. Kaylyn also enhanced documentation accuracy by fixing a typo in the success description for saved queries. Additionally, she resolved image loading issues in the Storybook deployment for GitHub Pages by adjusting image path references. Her work demonstrated attention to detail and a methodical approach to maintaining product stability and content correctness.
