Worked on enhancing the copper-rs repository by improving the development environment setup using Nix, with a focus on enabling CUDA support for GPU-accelerated workflows. The approach centered on updating the Nix shell configuration to streamline library management and ensure reproducible builds, which contributed to faster onboarding and more standardized local development. Emphasized infrastructure and toolchain stabilization rather than direct bug fixes, leveraging skills in Nix, CUDA, and DevOps. Formatting and shell updates were also introduced to maintain consistency and improve maintainability. The work addressed the need for reliable, GPU-enabled development environments, supporting both onboarding efficiency and workflow reproducibility.
