Worked on the TykTechnologies/tyk repository to enhance observability and log standardization for API gateway operations. Developed an API Access Transaction Logging feature using Go and JSON, introducing a dedicated accesslog package with configurable log outputs and fields. Implemented thorough testing to ensure correctness and performance, supporting both successful and error response tracking. Standardized log field naming by renaming upstream_address to upstream_addr across configuration and records, improving consistency for downstream integration. These updates strengthened debugging, security auditing, and performance monitoring capabilities while maintaining system reliability, reflecting a focus on backend development, configuration management, and robust logging practices throughout the project.
