During June 2025, contributed to the TykTechnologies/tyk repository by delivering SessionState KeyId support to enhance API access token tracking and auditing. The work involved designing and implementing an additive field in the protobuf SessionState definition, updating associated Go structs, and extending helper utilities to surface the new KeyId to gRPC plugins. This approach ensured backward compatibility while enabling improved traceability and compliance readiness for API tokens. The changes leveraged backend development skills with a focus on Go, protobuf, and gRPC technologies, resulting in a more robust framework for token management and security auditing within the Tyk API gateway platform.
