Worked on the flatcar/scripts repository to deliver an upgrade of Ignition to version 2.24.0, focusing on improving dependency management and compatibility with UpCloud OEM provisioning. The approach involved reorganizing and sequencing patches to ensure new dependencies introduced by the upgrade were properly vendored, minimizing the risk of build failures and vendoring conflicts. The upgrade was built and tested against the UpCloud OEM image to validate its readiness for deployment and ongoing maintenance. This work leveraged skills in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, and Go, resulting in improved patch hygiene and maintainability to support smoother future upgrades within the repository.
