During June 2025, work focused on enhancing the reliability of the Manhuagui parser within the KotatsuApp/kotatsu-parsers repository. Addressing persistent parsing failures, the developer standardized the User-Agent to a desktop profile and introduced an Accept-Encoding: identity header to prevent decompression-related errors. The decompression logic was refactored for greater robustness and correctness, resulting in more stable manga data retrieval. Utilizing Kotlin and leveraging skills in API integration, data parsing, and web scraping, the improvements targeted the stability of data pipelines. This work involved fixing a critical bug, with no new features added, and contributed to more dependable parser performance.
