
Worked on the kube-ovn/kube-ovn repository to enhance cross-VPC networking and NAT rule reliability within Kubernetes environments. Developed a cross-VPC ARP learning feature that enables VPC routers with peerings to dynamically learn pod MAC addresses from ARP requests, ensuring correct packet routing and preventing mis-forwarding across VPC boundaries. Addressed NAT rule stability by implementing a forced delete-and-create flow and tuple-based matching for DNAT and SNAT rules during pod swaps, reducing the risk of stale logical IP updates. Leveraged Go, Kubernetes, and OVN to deliver these improvements, with comprehensive tests added to validate swap behavior and network resilience.
