Worked on the mercurjs/mercur repository to enhance backend reliability and inventory management using TypeScript and Node.js. Focused on stabilizing API routing by correcting a misnamed route file, which ensured fulfillment provider endpoints remained accessible and reduced potential downtime in order processing. Addressed a critical cart completion issue by refining inventory location matching, enabling accurate stock checks for multi-vendor carts and supporting seamless cross-vendor purchasing. Both solutions were delivered with minimal code changes, leveraging established backend conventions. The work prioritized production stability and maintainability, directly improving checkout reliability and supporting consistent customer experiences in complex e-commerce workflows.
March 2025: Stabilized the multi-vendor cart flow by correcting inventory location matching. The fix ensures stock location IDs are correctly associated with product variants, allowing inventory checks to target the proper locations when adding items from different vendors. This resolves a cart completion failure, reduces checkout friction, and supports reliable cross-vendor purchasing, with positive implications for conversion and revenue preservation.

February 2025 focused on stability and API routing reliability for the mercur project. Implemented a critical bug fix to the Fulfillment Providers API routing by renaming router.ts to route.ts, ensuring API endpoints are reachable and functioning. The fix reduces potential fulfillment-related downtime and supports a smoother customer experience in order processing.
