During January 2025, Lee Billington focused on streamlining the nginxinc/nginx-hugo-theme repository by removing a legacy feedback form and its associated user interface components. This work involved updating HTML partials and Go/Hugo templates to eliminate outdated links, layouts, and related text, thereby reducing maintenance overhead and aligning the project with current product direction. Lee applied disciplined Git workflows to ensure the changes were well-scoped and clearly documented in a single commit. While the work did not involve bug fixes or new features beyond this targeted cleanup, it improved code maintainability and simplified future frontend development using HTML and templating skills.
