In April 2025, Alex Bavshin delivered QUIC support integration for the nginx/nginx.org repository by updating build instructions to accommodate changes in BoringSSL’s library output locations. Alex focused on ensuring that the build system correctly incorporated QUIC functionality with the revised BoringSSL library, referencing specific upstream revisions to maintain compatibility. The work involved careful updates to both documentation and build scripts, improving maintainability and reducing deployment friction for production-ready QUIC-enabled builds. Alex demonstrated skills in build systems, documentation, and cross-team coordination, using text-based configuration and scripting to align nginx.org’s build process with evolving cryptographic library requirements. No major bugs were addressed.
