Worked on the Company-B-MSD/tripmate repository to enhance authentication security and streamline backend integration. Developed an OAuth2 login flow that issues JWT tokens upon successful authentication, enabling stateless and secure API requests from the frontend. Refactored the security configuration by removing legacy files, consolidating security logic, and reducing technical debt to simplify future enhancements. Focused on backend development using Java, Spring Security, and CORS configuration to support seamless token-based authentication. These changes improved maintainability and reduced risk from outdated configurations, while ensuring the frontend could integrate with minimal changes for a smoother, more secure user authentication experience.
