During July 2025, Gallagepgma.22@uom.lk enhanced authentication security for the Company-B-MSD/tripmate repository by implementing an OAuth2 login flow that issues JWT tokens, enabling secure, stateless API requests and seamless frontend integration. They overhauled backend security by removing legacy configuration files, consolidating security logic, and reducing technical debt. Using Java, Spring Security, and CORS configuration, Gallagepgma.22@uom.lk focused on simplifying the authentication process while improving maintainability and reducing risk from outdated code. The work provided a robust foundation for future security enhancements and ensured that token-based authentication could be adopted by the frontend with minimal disruption or code changes.
