During July 2025, Gallagepgma.22@uom.lk enhanced authentication security for the Company-B-MSD/tripmate repository by implementing an OAuth2 login flow that issues JWT tokens, enabling secure, stateless API requests and seamless frontend integration. They overhauled backend security by removing legacy configuration files, consolidating security logic, and reducing technical debt. Using Java, Spring Security, and CORS configuration, Gallagepgma focused on simplifying the security architecture, which improved maintainability and reduced risk from outdated code. The work addressed both backend robustness and frontend readiness, ensuring that token-based authentication could be adopted with minimal client changes, reflecting a thoughtful approach to system evolution.
